The weaving wire mesh of Tacchi s.r.l. are produced with extreme quality and precision. They are used for multiple solutions: sieving, filtration, shielding, etc. Some of the most important characteristics of wire mesh are stability, resistance over time, resistance to high pressures and temperatures. Furthermore, knowing in depth the characteristics of the wire mesh, it has different solutions in the construction of finished products.

The warp and weft wires intersect alternatively one below and one above the other. The meshes have wires that form perfect 90°right angles and so obtain the maximum light regularity. This is the most commonly used cloth mesh and is found in a wide range of applications.

The warp and weft wires intersect alternatively two below and two above. In this weaving the wires tend to form different 90°right angles as a result of non compensated tensions. This is generally used for very mesh cloths, more than 220 in number, or when it is necessary to use larger diameter wires as regards the mesh opening. In this case the wire is subject to less enervation yield thanks to a greater bending radius.

This cloth is exactly the same as the normal Plain Dutch Weave ex- cept for the fact that it has finer weft wires and so there are more of them. This results in an increase in the number of interstices due to the intersection between the warp wires and weft wires, hence the cloth has a greater free open area. he filtering characteristics are good because of the straight flow. The free open area, as a result of the different construction from the normal Plain Dutch Weave, is now larger with values below 40%. The cloth shows only a very slight pressure loss during use.

The weft wires are twill-woven very closely one to the other, completely covering the warp. The result is that the surface is smooth, very stable and extremely compact, suitable for very fine filtrations. This execution allows a high degree of accuracy in the filtration and separation of solid particles. Compared to the other filter cloths, Dutch Twilled Weave has the highest resistance to flow with the same degree of filtering, combining both the strength of the cloth the fineness in filtration. The filtering surface area is below 10% so the dirt retention capacity is greatly reduced.

Unlike the normal Dutch Twilled Weave, the weft wires are not beaten so close to one another; but placed at a fixed distance. Because of its construction the filtration is obviously not so accurate as in the normal Dutch Twilled Weave, but there is a gain in the free open surface area wich remains fixed in values below 18%. Howerver the cleaning procedure remains easy.

The diameter of the weft wire is considerably larger than that of the warp wires (unlike the Plain Dutch Weave, where it is the opposite), so there are more warp wires and they are as close-knit to one another as possible. The characteristic of this special construction is very good stability with excellent filtration and regeneration. In the PZ cloth the warp wires are so near one another that the particles to be filtered remain on the surface on the external part of the cloth, thus avoiding clogging up the meshes, instead of being deposited inside the cloth between the interstices resulting from the intersections of the weft and warp wires. The possibility of an excellent regeneration of the filter through counter pressure (the inversion of the flow and the elimination of the particles from the surface) is garanteed. Naturally the free open area is greater than in the Dutch Twilled Weave and is maintained at values below 25%. Because of its solid construction it is used in cases where there is mechanical stress.

The weft wires are considerably bigger in size than the warp wires like in the Pz weaving. The weft wires are woven in twilled construction. That mean the warp wires are not so heavily stressed and the construction is suitable for applications that are subject to an high mechanical stress. This weaving type find the best employ in the extrusion plastic screen changers for continuous operation, the so called autoscreen.

Epoxy cloth is commonly used as a support for filtering septa. It can be used folded or pleated, saving the stability of the coating. Available in rolls of about 300 ml with the possibility of supply cut into strips.
