Cloths Plain Dutch weave, Dutch Twilled PZ

Production of special cloths for filters

Tacchi Tessiture Tele Metalliche is able to weave metallic cloths for various industrial fields, including special cloths made specifically for industrial filters. Metallic cloths worked out for industrial filters can be:
•    Plain Dutch weave cloths in steel, iron or brass, ideal for the hydraulic field
•    Plain Dutch weave HF cloths in steel, iron or brass, having thinner wires compared to the traditional PLAIN DUTCH WEAVE
•    DUTCH TWILLED WEAVE cloths in steel with weft yarns beaten in cross shape, ideal for filters for sediments and filtering candles
•    DUTCH TWILLED WEAVE BMT (BROADMESH) cloths with weft yarns beaten narrower compared to the traditional Dutch Twilled cloths
•    Cloths PZ PLAIN DUTCH WEAVE VERTICAL realized with weft yarns bigger compared to the warp yarns, ideal for vacuum filters and filters for springs
Cloths REVERSE DUTCH TWILLED, ideal for filters which  have to undergo severe mechanical stress

ILLUSTRATION TABLES: PLAIN DUTCH WEAVE

In this type of cloth the warp wires have a bigger diameter than the weft wires. There is no longer an opening between the meshes as the wires are beaten one joined to the other.

REMARKS:

The filtering characteristics are good thanks to the straight flow. The free open surface is below 20% because of the construction of the cloth. During use, the cloth shows only a very slight pressure loss.

FIELD OF USE:

Hydraulic filtres – water purification – sediment filtration

MATERIAL:

Steel AISI 304-316, plain steel, galvanized, brass

Free open surface:

ILLUSTRATION TABLES: PLAIN DUTCH WEAVE HF (HIGH FLOW)

This cloth is exactly the same as the normal Plain Dutch Weave except for the fact that it has finer weft wires and so there are more of them. This results in an increase in the number of interstices due to the intersection between the warp wires and weft wires, hence the cloth has a greater free open area.

REMARKS:

The filtering characteristics are good because of the straight flow. The free open area, as a result of the different construction from the normal Plain Dutch Weave, is now larger with values below 40%. The cloth shows only a very slight pressure loss during use.

FIELD OF USE:

Hydraulic filters – purification of water – sediment filtration.

ILLUSTRATION TABLES: DUTCH TWILLED WEAVE

The weft wires are twill-woven very closely one to the other, completely covering the warp. The result is that the surface is smooth, very stable and extremely compact, suitable for very fine filtrations.

REMARKS:

This execution allows a high degree of accuracy in the filtration and separation of solid particles. Compared to the other filter cloths, Dutch Twilled Weave has the highest resistance to flow with the same degree of filtering, combining both the strength of the cloth the fineness in filtration. The filtering surface area is below 10% so the dirt retention capacity is greatly reduced.

Filtri per sedimenti, filtri vuoto, candele filtranti.

ILLUSTRATION TABLES: DUTCH TWILLED WEAVE BMT (BROADMESH)

Unlike the normal Dutch Twilled Weave, the weft wires are not beaten so close to one another, but placed at a fixed distance.

REMARKS:

Because of its construction the filtration is obviously not so accurate as in the normal Dutch Twilled Weave, but there is a gain in the free open surface area wich remains fixed in values below 18%. However the cleaning procedure remains easy.

FIELD OF USE:

Filters for sediments, vacuum filters, filtering candles.

ILLUSTRATION TABLES:"PZ" RVERSE DUTCH WEAVE

The diameter of the weft wire is considerably larger than that of the warp wires (unlike the Plain Dutch Weave, where it is the opposite), so there are more warp wires and they are as close-knit to one another as possible. The characteristic of this special construction is very good stability with excellent filtration and regeneration.

REMARKS:

In the PZ cloth the warp wires are so near one another that the particles to be filtered remain on the surface on the external part of the cloth, thus avoiding clogging up the meshes, instead of being deposited inside the cloth between the interstices resulting from the intersections of the weft and warp wires. The possibility of an excellent regeneration of the filter through counter pressure (the inversion of the flow and the elimination of the particles from the surface) is guaranteed. Naturally the free open area is greater than in the Dutch Twilled Weave and is maintained at values below 25%. Because of its solid construction it is used in cases where there is mechanical stress.

FIELD OF USE:

Filters for sediments, vacuum filters, filters for springs.

ILLUSTRATION TABLES: REVERSE DUTCH TWILLED WEAVE

The weft wires are considerably bigger in size than the warp wires like in the Pz weaving. The weft wires are woven in twilled construction. That mean the warp wires are not so heavily stressed and the construction is suitable for applications that are subject to an high mechanical stress. This weaving type find the best employ in the extrusion plastic screen changers for continuous operation, the so called autoscreen.
